This painting was a special honour to me to be able to paint. A portrait of a young man who lost his life in Afghanistan a year ago. Although I did not know him personally I was touched by his story of courage and moved with compassion for his family and their great loss. He joins a great crowd of heros who have gone before him in service to others.
